The Living Prairie Museum projects create thresholds between city and prairie, allowing the prairie to become a civic classroom. For the Annex project, a transformation of leftover space adds a workshop, fire pit and a new gathering ground to one of Manitoba's last fragments of Tall Grass Prairie. Gateways, low impact trail markers and environmental education opportunities support year-round programming. The Living Prairie Museum projects prove civic infrastructure can bridge urban life with prairie ecology by transforming the museum’s site into common territory for learning, celebration, and connection to land.
