Écobuage celebrates fire as a natural force for public gathering. This six-metre weathering steel sculpture anchors a new plaza through a narrative about prairie fire ecology. The design frames flame and smoke between laser-cut steel planes while connecting ground to sky at the height of the adjacent park pavilion. Around the central fire, Tyndall stone benches and steel planters create casual territory for groups to gather. As a civic-scale hearth, it creates a public living room where lines between Indigenous land practice, urban ritual, and ecological renewal become devices where for conversations about common practices and shared story.
