Écobuage is a tribute to the enduring relationship between human and natural systems, honoring the role fire has played in shaping Manitoba’s prairie landscape. Standing six meters tall, the plaza’s centerpiece is a striking weathering steel fireplace structure, designed to mirror the height of the adjacent park pavilion. Crafted from dynamic planes of laser-cut steel that evoke the flicker of flames, this sculptural feature offers a view of the fire and smoke within, celebrating the elemental force of fire as a vital part of the prairie ecosystem.
