The Best Western Plus Hotel in Dauphin, Manitoba, is a four-storey, 82-room wood-frame structure featuring an aquatics facility, two conference rooms, and a full kitchen. As Dauphin's first four-storey build in 20 years, it meets rigorous brand standards. The site, formerly farmland, required road development, drainage, and utility installations. Locally sourced resources from Manitoba were used, with pre-fabricated structural elements from Brandon cutting construction time by four months. Supporting the community, Indigenous labor, management, and materials were employed, reflecting the project’s commitment to local goods and services in rural construction.
