The sidewalk wayfinding mural wraps Calgary’s Municipal Building, transforming it into an active link between the Downtown Core and East Village. This vibrant mural invites pedestrians to explore beyond business hours, providing visual cues that lead to key attractions like the Convention Centre, Arts Commons, and Central Library. Part of Calgary’s Activate + Experiment program, this intervention envisions Stephen Avenue as a dynamic, 21st-century public street that fosters a lively, walkable city center. By creatively redirecting foot traffic, the mural supports Calgary’s vision of a thriving, accessible downtown, encouraging locals and visitors alike to engage with the city’s cultural and social spaces.
