As part of the Manitoba Centennial Concert Corporation's (MCCC) Master Plan Study, the proposed new Steinkopf Atrium and Welcome Centre offers a central access spine, bringing cohesiveness to all of its programs. This strategy not only connects each of the resident companies, but it unifies the visitor and patron experience as well. By enclosing the existing exterior space of the Steinkopf Gardens to create a covered Atrium, the space would become an all-season interior counterpoint to a proposed Arts Plaza to the East. It should be an activated, lively, accessible spine that engages with the programming around it.
