Public City led a collaborative team engaged by the Manitoba Centennial Centre Corporation (MCCC) to create a visionary Cultural District Plan. Inspired by the original 1961 Master Plan, this reimagined blueprint links Main Street to the Red River’s edge, transforming the district into a vibrant pedestrian-friendly area along James Avenue. Anchored by iconic cultural institutions—the Centennial Concert Hall, the Manitoba Museum, and the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre—the plan fosters a dynamic public realm, enhancing connectivity and accessibility while celebrating Winnipeg’s rich cultural heritage.
