Public City led a team for the Manitoba Centennial Centre Corporation (MCCC) to develop a District Plan for Winnipeg’s 34-acre East Exchange District. Home to the Centennial Concert Hall, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, and Manitoba Museum, the plan envisions a vibrant cultural hub. Inspired by the 1961 Master Plan, it connects Main Street to the Red River with pedestrian activity along James Avenue. A large plaza at James Avenue and Lily Street would anchor the district, creating a central gathering space and a new main entrance for the Concert Hall and Museum, defining MCCC as a cultural landmark.
